1. What disruptive technologies are replacing traditional RTLS in hospitals?
Ultra-wideband (UWB) and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) are the main disruptors because UWB provides sub-meter accuracy for clinical workflows and BLE lowers tag costs in large deployments. Passive RAIN RFID is also moving into consumable and instrument tracking, while Wi-Fi-based RTLS is being displaced in areas that need room-level precision. GE HealthCare and CenTrak are integrating multiple waveforms so hospitals can avoid one-technology lock-in.
